Bulan Bahasa Kebangsaan

Exam was approaching, but we were busy preparing for the upcoming event of our school. During a BM lesson few weeks ago, Puan Rozita ( Panitia BM ) told us to handle this particular event. From our role to the flow, teacher briefed us on every aspects of the event. Together with Puan Rosam and Puan Shuhada, they guided us and gave us opinions throughout the rehearsal. Therefore, no mistakes are allowed during the official opening ceremony.

The whole event was planned out according to Malay wedding ceremony. Firstly, there's a parade with students, each holding their respective dowry. After the parade, our friends will be sitting on the stage reciting wedding poems after a silat performance. Then, "Bulan Bahasa Kebangsaan" will be launched officially by our headmistress, signing on a large book. There will be also a video revealing wedding photos of all the Malay language teachers. You won't believe it, Puan Cheng was very pretty when she was at a young age, huge difference from now. >< That really gave us a shock when we first saw it after our friends collected the photos. xD After that, it's finally our turn to give out a choir performance. Actually we only practiced it for a few times. ^_^ Last but not least, our credit video. It was well-done but unfortunately the screen was too bright and there's technical problem too. ( Shouldn't it already time to change our hall's PA system? ) But also because of the arise of these problems, the video was not very smooth so we had a fun time laughing so hard. =) By the way, we really had a hard time recording the video together. T^T

For this event, we rehearsed twice ( 19 - 20.9.2013 ) and spent a lot of time on recording videos and taking photos for the credit, only to present a perfect opening ceremony on the actual day ( 30.9.2013 ). Too many things happened during those time until I can't remember it that well. Since there were Syahirah's DSLR and Adilah's MacBook Air, of course we took a lot of photos! ( Forgive our sampatness. xD ) So, let the pictures speak I guess? =P

Official Opening Ceremony ( 30.9.2013 )

That morning was in a rush, luckily I braided my hair at home. ^_^ Everyone changes into their costumes straight away once they reached there. I was quite late so it was in a hurry since we have to adjust the saree drape. The ceremony already started when we went down, some more everyone fixed their gaze at us. xD Everyone was damn nervous on that day.

This was how my braid looks like, it's a triple French braid ( not really obvious on black hair though ) :

Soon after it ended, we started packing up everything. We were eating some of the fruits we have there and the Form 6s came to snatch. =3= Anusha's brother walked behind Chou Tong and asked me to keep quiet, but of course I didn't. I signaled her, she understood but couldn't respond right on time, so our whole bunch of grapes got snatched away. xD After that, we went to send and organize the newspapers that we brought from home since it was the final day of the newspaper competition. Who knows they took class photos without me and Wei Ling. T^T After that, we continue to have our own sweet time at the lab, taking photos and having cakes. ^_^

With combined effort of each and every one of us, the event was a success. Although it might be just a normal activity to you, it's very meaningful to us. Because of our cooperation and our photo freak personality, our hearts united. This event, as if it's an apparatus that tighten our bond. What's fun is, we can also wear traditional costumes. I chose and wore Saree for the very first time, and I love it very much. Through this, I gained new knowledge, from the way of holding a Malay wedding ceremony to the many methods of tying Saree drape. I looked up on the internet for the ways of tying the drape and my triple French braid, so that's why I learnt a lot from these.
