Day 1 ( 25/12 )
See the date and you know what day it is. Yup, we are celebrating Christmas with a journey to Thailand. xD In the morning, we went to Yan's around 6 something and started our journey at almost 8. Lol. Normal journey, stopping at rest houses for breakfast and toilets. By the time we reached Betong, it's already evening ( damn many dogs chasing our cars when we were there, scary ). Everyone started unpacking and arranging, choosing beds and then snacks time! Soon, we cousins were wandering around, searching for things to do while waiting for dinner to be served. xD And guess what we spotted, a giant + super heavy circular thing like hula hoop, which we hesitated about it for quite awhile until the owner came and told us that it really is hula hoop. @@
Dinner's done! We took our part as waitresses and served all the rice and dishes. Jalmukesumneda! We had our dinner together with their friendly neighbours which we met every single time we went there. ^_^ After washing so many dishes ( due to the number to people >< ), we went in for some rest. We had a chit-chatting sessions before started to do numbering for all the Christmas presents. Then, it's present time! Weeeeeee.
Our Christmas TV ( tree ). xD
Awhile later, our aunt came to us with a thingy and said it's good for our backbones, but when the others saw that, they thought it was some sort of corsets for slimming. xD As time passed, everyone went in to sleep. ( Oh, and the long time no see cat came back. =D )
Day 2 ( 26/12 )
Clock strucked 3/4 in the morning, our good aunts were helping to cover Yan with a thicker blanket, but woke me and Xuan with torchlight right into our eyes. -.- As the sky became brighter, the adults woke up and started chit-chatting ( it's always like that when we go on a trip ). We then woke up to the loud voices and roosters' crowing. ( New experience xD ) After breakfasts, we waited for our uncle to prepare and brought us to the jungle on a truck for a once in a lifetime activity ( further informations are secrets, shhh ^_^ ).
After that, we were all hungry so we went back to the house for lunch, but my aunt who was the most hungry one got caught away to buy some vegetables. Kesian. xD After some bananas and cakes, we went in to play Monopoly~ xD ( played for almost half a day, I hampir bankrupt nehh hehe )
Left : My first two hard-earned buildings. T^T
Right : Xuan's debit card. New record. @@
A photo while waiting for dinner.
( This isn't a selfie but my cousin took it. =P )
Day 3 ( 27/12 )
Woke up around 7 ( yeah, to voices and roosters' crowing again ). After a quite heavy breakfast, we prepared ourselves to go jungle hiking! Woohooo! But before that, we went to visit a farm with fruits and pretty flowers.
Passion fruits =)
Pineapple and papaya tree ^^
Right : Spot anything? The lemongrass on my butt, to prevent mosquitoes, but everyone was laughing at it. xD
Right : Me and my family.
Left : Aunt's sugarcane.
Right : Do you know that kangkong grow in water? =/
And here started our hiking journey!
Top of mountain, after hiking for about an hour? Tired!
Time to go down, the road was damn steep, can die if we fall down. -.- After hiking, we went to their mangoesteen farm. =D
Other people were in process of making rubber sheets.
To the committee house. ( Next time we can stay there when it finished renovated, since my uncle is the representative. =P )
Don't you think that the sunflowers are so pretty? =O
When we reached back home, we were so tired and hungry. We had a long snack time, to eat and to rest, cukup cukup. Then, we started to pack our bags and moved on to the second village by our car. ( If you read last year's Betong trip post, you would know that how second village looks like. ) Uncle told us that we are going to stay in a bangalow, so we were having very high expectation, but it turned out to be some sort of community hall.
Left : The "bangalow" that we are spending a night in.
Right : Rubber sheets opposite to our house. SO DAMN SMELLY!
On the way to have our dinner :
A Chinese restaurant with karaoke, FOC. ^_^
Good night, sweet dream.
Day 4 ( 28/12 )
In the morning, some of them woke up and were chit-chatting. Although their voices were soft and low, we still got awaken. We all slept in a same hall after all ( actually they have two rooms, but we prefer outside as it's more exciting ). Breakfast ourselves, cookies, cakes, coffee and bread. We then went to walk around and finally bid farewell to our aunt and uncle, and started our journey to Ipoh.
How our so called bangalow looks like :
The night before, my cousins have no place to sleep since my aunt took their bed. ( Lol, shouldn't it be reversed? ) So we helped to move the bed from the room to outside. But guess what, that's the only spot available. Pay your attention to the banner : "同志爱", and they are both girls. We all had a fun time laughing so hard. xD
Journey to Ipoh started after we had some coconut drinks. Some even have the time to go to the toilet and "bake chocolate cake". xD We were in the car all the time as we wanted to reach Ipoh in a shorter time, everyone slept in the car. As we reached one of the resthouses, we stopped by to have our tea time. Roti telur, nasi lemak and teh tarik. ^_^ We then continued our journey and reached Ipoh, there we met an aunty ( father's neighbour when young ) and she brought us to our REAL BANGALOW! WOOOHOOOO. But this time we didn't have any high expectation, since the one in Betong..... But thanks to my cousin, he was so worried that the place they booked will bring us disappointment again. But it turned our to be very damn nice. Let's see :
Right : See the road arrow so cute! xD
Right : The room my uncle stays in, first floor.
The bedsheets very nice.
Our room. ^^
Yan's room.
Benedict's room.
After resting for awhile, we went out for dinner! =D Everyone was so hungry and we finished it very quickly, without a squeak. Lol.
Full! Next stop, that aunty's house. =)
That day ended after we went back and have a little session of chit-chatting in Yan's bedroom. They went back and we continued lepak for awhile. After that, we watched a movie in our room and went to sleep. ^_^
Day 5 ( 29/12 )
Woke up, breakfast, back to hotel, jamban, out to temples!
Their breakfast quite cheap weih, a lot cheaper than KL. And then my aunt suggested to stay there after retired. Haha.
First temple :
Second temple :
Gua Kek Look Tong, very beautiful :
So cute. Hehe
Stalagmite and stalactite.
We then went back to "our" bangalow, showered and packed our bag. From there, we checked out, had lunch and visited to that uncle's chicken farm.
Bye bye! T^T
Lunch at a famous chicken shop, and went to buy salt-baked chicken. ^^
To the first chicken farm, but their chickens were preparing to be transported to the wholesalers.
Right : A few leftover for the workers.
The workers are helping to cool down the chickens, so that they won't die due to the heat, since they were living in a good environment. And then not sure my mother or my cousin sister started, together they made a story. Do you know how bird flu came from? The workers sprayed water onto them to lower down the temperature and then send them to the wholesaler. On the road, the wind blows and the chickens were very cold. Achoo! And so the chickens caught a flu. That's the reason for bird flu. XD
A huge oil palm tree fell down. =O
Left : For workers' disinfection, but we stepped on the rock in the middle. =P
Thirsty?
Food and drinks for them. Woah
After that, we started our journey, back to KL.
Three gangsters in the toilet at resthouse.
If you read everything, you will feel like this is more to a field trip than a family trip. Whatever, it's still a trip! I really enjoy and like this trip very much since we get to experience all sorts of new things. Christmas in a foreign country, jungle hiking, ** once in a lifetime ( you know larh ), the process of making rubber sheets ( and it's smell >< ), living together in a community hall, renting a REAL BANGALOW and visiting chicken farms! Woohoo! Hope we can experience more, together. =)
