Page 365 of 365, which marks the end of 2014. Lots of incidents had happened throughout the year, from happy and excitement to sorrow and stress, we'd went through every single emotions. With the end of 2014, it also marks the end of my high school life, for which I will be stepping into college life and the society in 2015. I can no longer stay as a childish teenager, but to be more mature, independent and thoughtful. I am really glad that I'd spent another year with my best friends and family, but at the same time, I felt sorry for those who'd lost their loved ones in the horrendous disasters. May the victims rest in peace and may their families stay healthy.

MH370 in March
With the lives of 239 on board, it went missing after losing contact with the air traffic controllers on 8th of March. The location of the aircraft is still unknown after such a long search. May it be found sooner with the search and rescue effort of the three governments.
Haze Crisis in June
The weather of Southeast Asian region was severely polluted. Firstly because of forest and peat fires in Indonesia's Riau province in March, which sent the air pollution index in our country to a high record, exceeding the 'Very Unhealthy' zone. Schools in certain areas were closed down temporarily to protect students' health. How serious the haze was when the tallest building in Malaysia, Petronas Twin Tower, had disappeared covered by haze and is completely out of our sight.

MH17 in July
First Flight on 17 July 1997, Last Flight on 17 July 2014,
Flew for exactly 17 years.
Flying from Amsterdam to KL, the plane crashed on 17th of July. The aircraft was shot down near Ukraine, taking away the lives of 283 passengers and 15 crews, leaving no survivors at all. It was the worst incident in Malaysia Airlines' history and the second tragedy of the year, after the disappearance of MH370. May the 298 victims in total rest in peace.

QZ8501 in December
An Indonesia AirAsia flight crashed in bad weather into the Java Sea on 28th of December. Killing all 155 passengers and 7 crews on board, 45 of 70 bodies found were identified. Not sure if it's true or not but according to Wikipedia, the investigators ruled out a terrorist attack as the cause after having listened to the cockpit voice recording. This fatal tragedy is the second deadliest in Indonesian territory. May the victims rest in peace.

2015, new year, new beginning. Let's pray that 2015 will be a better year filled with joys and happiness, health and wealth. May those sorrowful tragedies do not repeat itself and end along with 2014. Blessed new year!
