HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

It's time to bid farewell to my long hair after growing them for all these time. Two weeks before Chinese New Year, I visited a saloon at Desa Setapak for which I'm trying out for the first time and unlucky me, got myself an inexperienced man to cut my hair. Luckily, another guy came to my(hair) rescue. Cutting over and over again, that's why my hair turned out to be so short. Initially I wanted to cut only 4 inches, but then it became shoulder length. *Cries* Nevermind, I still like my new hairstyle, bangs and V-shaped. =)

Three tables, a reunion dinner. As usual, we gathered for dinner, and then the CNY routine -- Blackjack. Pity our cousin Xuan, currently in Form 5, have to finish her BM Komsas and Biology Module before school starts. I couldn't really help her in BM, one thing is I couldn't remember the plot of the novel, the other thing is I've never seen such question. "What can you understand from the title 'Konserto Terakhir'? I'm like 'What?' Lol." It's hard, man. Biology yeah, I gave her a few answers and she roughly finished up the rest. Her teacher let them do before teaching so that's why she couldn't understand. Helped my aunt in making Cincau Drink for everyone and then joined in the game for a few rounds. The older cousins went to their second round with their friends, while we went back after resting for awhile.

First day of Chinese New Year is always a boring day for us, okay, for me actually. We would just gather at Connaught for lunch then move on to Biao Kor's house and stay there until dinner time. Repeating every year without fail, I feel bored as there were no one to talk to, close cousins all went to their Mother's side, so I'm stuck with the two not-so-close-cousins of Biao Kor's side. Oh, and another two close-but-not-that-close cousins. You get it? xD But fortunately, this year, the older cousins all went there before leaving, so we had a few rounds of blackjack then some conversation. At least this year I have someone to accompany me. xD

Nowadays I'm quite looking forward for the second day of CNY. Why not? There's this cute little niece awaiting us at our granny's. She'd grown up so much, so tall all of a sudden. I've seen her in her infant stage, and now she can already run and talk so actively. So that's the feeling of seeing someone grow up from a newborn to early childhood.
I've always knew that she's super active, but I really couldn't follow her pace. Too hyperactive. @@ She's really a troublemaker, you will surely faint just by watching her running here and there, never stays still unless she has a device with her ( modern child, sigh ). Oh, and our hands and legs too, lol. She keeps grabbing mine and my sister's because of our nail polish. She likes it, pretty and bling bling. Haha. She called us Jie Jie all day long even though we are her aunt, so she kept getting corrected for it, guess that she really couldn't adapt to the word 'ah yi'. xD
My sister let her play "Plant vs Zombie" using her phone so that she would stay still, she kept losing because she was so stubborn not to put anything on the first column lol. After we had our lunch ( cooked by 3rd aunt ), we were sitting side by side and she was playing her makeover game with me. Wash hand, make up, wash hair, applying nail polish and all. Oh, and her "open door" game which I couldn't understand at all. xD
Just when we thought she was sitting still, she started jumping and running around. And then later on, she ran into our granny's room and starting her alien language in front on the mirror, totally absorbed in her own world. I carried her out and she bit me on my arm and pulled my hair. Out there, she smashed the rubix cube onto the floor lol, and I couldn't fix it. Seriously, so violent my gosh.
Picked up some cubes but then threw it onto the floor again lol.

We can hardly take a photo with her because she just never stay still for even a second. But still, we persuaded her to take selfies with us, and she was so cute. My sister put a peace horizontally and she quickly said "Not like that, like this : *vertically*" Aww. xD
Evening, all of us left our granny's. We met up with our cousins at Pavilion for a movie. Watched 'Lucky Star 2015' but it was so boring and meaningless, what a waste of money and time. Then we had our dinner at Morganfield's. People were staring at us when we walked in, because we came in a big group. My family members ordered Seafood Basket, Herb Roasted Chicken and Bottomless Ice Lemon Tea for sharing. We had no activities afterward, so all of us went our own way after dinner.

Visiting 四姨婆(my grandma's younger sister)'s house is already one of our CNY routine. It started two years ago, and if you remember, I'd written about my new cousins, and yeah, they are from this house. I'm actually looking forward to this day, because I could meet those cousins and also, because seeing 四姨婆 is like seeing my grandmother, believe me, they are really alike.
We reached her house around 3, and there were a lot more people than expected, like super duper crowded compared to previous years. They have a big family, even bigger than ours, maybe twice our numbers? @@ We met two cousin brothers which we gambled together last year, and there's another one looking so alike to the one wearing specs. Guess how we figure out which was the one we met? Surely we don't know which one, but because one of them greeted us, and so we kind of figured it out. XD
We had our second lunch there because their maid purposely cooked for us, but all of us were like went there right after our lunch, lol. Vincent greeted our youngest cousin sister and we couldn't really recognize him with his fringe down and without his cap. ( I realized that we were so bad in recognizing people. xD )
They jio us to join them and their family members, with the twins and another guy as banker. We played another way of Blackjack, which you can give up the game if you've got a total of 15 in two cards. I really have no luck in that house, one of my red notes flew away. Lost for two consecutive years, sad case.
Our next stop was 二婶婆's house. Her house was normal flat so there were nothing much for us youngsters to do. There were only her daughter and her grandson which is currently 18 like me. We had a little snacks while the adults had their conversation, and we went back home after awhile. On our way home, we dropped by at my 大姨's house and stayed there until 9, I was so tired and sleepy. I even fell asleep while they were chatting. xD

Okay, here starts our open houses. =D Reached Yan's place at 1 and we had our lunch half an hour later. While letting our stomach do the digestion, we continued eating snacks. We played and took photo with Fido for awhile and then gathered upstairs for games.

There, I learnt another card game from cousins. It's 'pool', a game where everyone put their betting in the middle, then gets three cards each. Total up the three cards and see what your number ends with. If it ends with 7 or less, you lose, but if your number ends with 8, 9 or 10, the highest number wins the game, and you may take all the betting. If it's a tie, you have to add your betting and continue another round. Losing the game means you lose a few ringgit, but if you win, you can win a lot, but of course, you lose almost every round until you get to win that one game. xD
We started off with a round of Blackjack. Yan as the banker got blackjack right in the first game and suddenly everyone was so united and denied that blackjack saying that it's a testing round because June walked away. That scene was so funny, everyone was laughing so hard. Oh, pity Yan who got bullied by everyone. As more people gathered, we played 'pool' instead of blackjack. While playing 'pool', blackjack kept coming out lol. Weird isn't it? In blackjack we need it but it seldom come to us, in 'pool' we don't want it ( cuz it's only 1 ) but it kept appearing.
We were switching from 'pool' to blackjack back to 'pool' to change our luck lol. 'Pool' might doesn't seems fun, but it's actually very exciting. I almost lose my voice while shouting during the game. xD And there's this funny yet miraculous thing happened, all of us took turn winning the game. From Xuan sitting on my left to me, then Tat on my right, to Ben then Yan. We did not do it intentionally but I think it's because the few of us started handling out cards to the one on our right. The cycle stopped right at my sister's turn, she got a 10 but not lucky enough as she got tied with another two. Then it became random again. Tat commented that it's not fun because he kept losing and all of us laughed at him.
We ended out gambling session and started to play 'Fun Run 2' together. Tat and Benedict asked to download it and then the three of us and later Xuan joined in to play. We had fun ganged up and attacked the stranger who joined us haha, and so a 'fun run gang' was formed. xD The scene was so noisy and hectic, all of us were like "kill him, kill him, ohhhh why kill me, ahhhh I don't wanna be the last one" and so on.
Left at 5.30 pm and went to One Utama for a 6.20 pm movie, "From Vegas to Macau 2". The Cheras gang went to Leisure Mall to watch the same movie at 7. Two of my sister's colleagues joined us for the movie and we went back without dinner, since everyone was not hungry. But we bought burger and Nasi Lemak on our way back for a light dinner.

Woke up by dad around 11.15 a.m. and we started preparing to meet up with Chueh Hoon's family and granny because my 大姨丈 was going to buy us lunch. After fetching granny and aunt back, we stopped by Jusco to buy some ingredients for Sunday. Since it's where Ke Ying was working, I went to chat with her until a customer came by. As we finished shopping, I left after bidding farewell to Ke Ying.
Back at home, I watched a drama and accidentally dozed off, lack of sleep I guess. We started journey at 7, reaching Arnold's house late. There were a lot of strangers, most of them are Benedict's friends. We had dinner, then played with Fido for awhile before going indoor. I sat at where they were playing cards and chatted with cousins. Since I didn't join in the game ( being a good child for a day ), I kept wandering around aimlessly after my cousins went back.
I started playing Fun Run 2 with Tat after they reached, together with Ben's neighbour. Then left only me and his neighbour playing when Tat went to play cards. It was a little bit awkward, so I stopped playing and continued wandering. xD We played a few more rounds before Tat went back and Ben's phone out of battery. Then eveyone left around 12 a.m.

It's Jessie's turn, the place where we always take a lot of photos every time we go there. The house with a cute dog. Also the place located so faraway from ours which we'll need to travel an hour in the car. The traffic was so slow that evening, so we were forced to take two highways with toll. Luckily I inserted the address into my Waze ( I don't have data plan ) and we reached there the second earliest this time. xD
We had some snack and dessert they prepared while waiting for everyone. Kimbap and 雪耳糖水. I was introduced to a game named 'Cluedo', was trying to understand the card game and when I finally get it, they asked us to go for dinner first.

So after dinner, we played the board version of Cluedo and I need to understand it all over again ( same concept but different playing method ). Getting bored because one round of the board version = few rounds of card version, so when the game finally ended, we switched to the card version and after one round, we decided to stop playing, lol. Meanwhile, there were a blackjack group at the dining table. So loud and noisy. But what to do, it's Chinese New Year after all.
We had nothing to do, so we went to play with Fido, yeah again. xD We were chasing and teasing him with the baseball, playing like some mad children. Then not sure whose idea ( Xuan maybe? ), we started to take group photos according to those we took in the past, trying to make before and after photo. And the fun thing is, everyone joined in. =D After that, they were using my phone camera to see what age and gender they are, everyone were laughing so hard. Then we continued taking random group photos and selfies. Truly, taking photos is the best! Haha.

They continued their Blackjack, some joined in while I just watched, and all of us went home after chilling for a bit. It was still early but no choice, since it's far from our houses. But that was a fun night.

Finally, there goes our turn. As usual, mum was busy with her cooking and we were busy cleaning extra plates and cutleries on the other hand. Kept away all the useless stuffs, prepared everything, and we were left nothing to do but to wait for them to arrive.
For two hours, I had nothing to do but lazied around the living room, playing games using my phone and editing photos from the previous night. Finally, guests reached one after another and our night begins.
We played a few rounds of Big Two before moving on to our dinner. Then Fido arrived with Jessie's family and he was running around the house especially at the wet kitchen ( because he smells fooooood there ). Then we were all in my study room, chilling under the air cond ( because the living room was too packed so the air cond there wasn't cold enough ), some were using their phones, some reading my book, and pity Xuan were revising her Add Maths. xD

Fido were walking here and there so we tried to let him come into my room for a few times but failed. And that one time when we finally succeeded, we closed the door with the speed of light and trapped him with us. xD But soon enough, Kei opened the door and he escaped from us. -.- At the living room, my aunt was curious about his respond towards sound, so she played a cat's recording and Fido was barking very loudly but he couldn't find any cat lol.
The Blackjack group started at the dining table after everyone finished their dinner. But since we have a couple sets of card, we started another group of Big Two inside my room. Heehee. And it continued until it's time to leave.
Before leaving, we had a small snack time at the living room and everyone had their attention towards Fido. Played with him, teased him, petted him and fed him some water. As everyone went back, we started cleaning. And this mark the end of CNY.
