Chinese Singing Competition

The annual event organized by our Chinese Society has approached. This year, it's being held by us, the Form 4's. Every members involved have their own parts and works to do, no matter what position they are and what classes they are from. But since almost all of us are in the same class, we got to discuss and plan out together whenever there are free periods without teacher. There are quite some free time as one of our teachers are on maternity leave. It's not really going that smoothly during the preparation stage and sometimes we are a little unsatisfied.

There's a lot required in order to make this a success. Firstly, we had to make tickets for selling for the final, selling cups of "Ai Yu Jelly" ( 爱玉冰 ) even to students from the school next to ours, preparing background decorations, making voting board, calculating votes, collecting lyrics and songs, getting ready with all sorts of preparation.

from other years doesn't look really nice. ^-^ 

Nothing much for the audition. Just that, there's this one participant who sang until not that good, which is already expected, since it's the same every year. That teacher as one of the judges, I don't know what's her problem, she counted her in to the final in last minute right before we announced the result. Oh my gosh! Us, the members, were so shocked weih! ( Since we can see the names before announcing. =P ) We already tried our best to keep away the result paper but she still managed to circle it. Urgh.. T^T 

The final that we anticipated is finally here and it was so nerve-wracking, for us and for the participants. That day, Audrey, Wei Ling and I are playing the role of "礼仪小姐" ( not sure what it's called in English ), Jie Lynn and Chou Tong as the emcees, Wei Ling, Kah Man and I calculate total marks of the participants ( can't be of use since the judges did it themselves), and the rests just sell drinks and everyone are responsible for sizzling the atmosphere but I guess no one dare to. xP 

The guest for that day was Ky Tha, yup it's 赵洁莹. There's two females who accompanied her and I guess that they are her friends, seniors from our school. She's really like those celebrities in drama though, doesn't even bother us. We greeted her but no response. =3= Just followed the judges like unnecessary ones.

The truth is, I doesn't even know who she is until I googled her after knowing her name for promoting. >< Many participants used her song for competition though, so we are actually quite bored during the competition. 

The guest gave her performances and awarded the prizes to the winners.

Before we knew it, the clock strucked 4.30 p.m. and the competition ended. We still have to stay back to clean up everything. It was quite fun but tiring. I slept once I went into the car. xD

Our hard-earned success~ =D

I realised that it's not that easy to plan an event after experiencing all those hard work. Luckily, we did a good job, at least the competition ended smoothly. =D There are spaces for improvement, but it consider as a success right? As it's only our first time. Oh, but if there's not much Form 4 society members next year, we might end up doing it again. =/
