Party @ CCT's

Some day during August holiday, we had a simple but memorable brunch at Chou Tong's house. I think it's our first meal together at someone's house? =D Anyway, the main reason that we are having this party is because all of them still owe Wei Ling her birthday present ( I gave her fishes ^_^ ), she thirst for Tang Yuan and so this party is suggested. xD

That day, I reached her house around 10 something in the morning and they were already started to make the surprise for Wah Jia. Audrey was the first one to reach there, then Ke Ying, me, Wei Ling and Lay Leng, last but not least, Wah Jia. ^_^ We did the cards so slowly as we were blank of what to write, and time passed by quickly so we started to feel the rush. I organized and printed our photos in a hurry and we did almost three quarter in a flash of light.

We kept everything upstairs right before the main character finally reached the house ( different appointed time - 11 a.m. ). Soon, we are in the progress of preparing for our brunch, starting with the Tang Yuan. Who says we can only have it during Winter Solstice hmm? Mum surely cooks for us whenever we feel like eating. =P 

As the Tang Yuan is left to boil, we started making bread roll and waffles. And here's the recipe for Chou Tong's bread roll xD :

1. Prepare the ingredients as follow :

2. Place a slice of bread on top of a slice of seaweed and then a slice of ham.
3. Add in moderate amount of grated carrot and cucumber and some chopped sausages.
4. Squeeze in thousand island or mayonnaise, according to personal preference.
5. Roll up the bread together with the seaweed and the bread roll is now ready to be served.

Haha, just typing that for fun. But that meal was really delicious, with our own homemade food. One word to describe - Scrumptious! Surely, we took a few photos during the meal too!

After our brunch, the clock strucked 2 p.m. We hardly found an opportunity to finish up everything that's left. But who knows Wah Jia would come upstairs, and without a knock on the door, she ruined her own surprise. =3= Everyone was blank at that moment, not knowing what to do. After awhile, Lay Leng and I brought her laptop to the room and we had a karaoke session there. But the mood wasn't there and Lay Leng even fell asleep on the floor. Naughty us took a few selcas with her sleeping face. =P

As we went downstairs and lighted up the candles, the tiramisu cake is brought out to Wah Jia along with a Happy Birthday song. Together with the cake, the card we prepared is handed to her. They sang the song for me too and gave me a present they all shared - three pairs of earrings and a set of hairband. ( Three more added to my piles of earrings, there's even some that I haven't wear before geh. Too many to wear already larh hehe. Oh, there's an owl earrings among the three, and coincidentally I have one owl designed earrings too, but different type geh.

The two hairbands are of the same design but different colours - black and blue, but the black one got a little bit yellowish.. ) As we enjoy the cake together, Chou Tong also served some jelly mooncakes her mum made for us. ( According to what I remember, it's requested by one of us but not sure who is it. ^_^ Anyway, thank you aunty! )

Not knowing how, they started to play with the cream of the cake crazily. At last, I got a little bit on my thighs too. =3= After washing up, we went upstairs again and I went back after a few minutes, missed the chance to take photos with them. =[

They took it successfully after I went back, with the way I first suggested. =(
