First Deepavali With Friends

Deepavali's here and Sahitra had her open house on the 2nd of November. This is my first time celebrating Deepavali, together with my friends. At first, my intention is just to have new experience and to hang out with them, but it's not only that anymore, she's migrating to Australia soon so we might not see her anymore.

Sahitra's house is around Desa Setapak, near Kenny Rogers Roasters. Chou Tong and I reached there before the appointed time while Audrey and Wah Jia came quite late. We kept calling them before they reach, and Audrey sounds so nervous when she picked up her call. She answered "我出门了, 我出门了!" straight away, so I guess her "came out" is just a step out of her house. xD As they reached, the owner came down to fetch us and we went up together.

The atmosphere of her house are quite different from Chinese New Year. You know our open house is usually very crowded and noisy, fun and crazy, okay maybe mine, but hers are like normal days, not really a lot of people ( only one family is there ). At first we thought that many of our classmates will attend, but there's only few of us, all Chinese ( Chou Tong, Audrey, Wah Jia, Kit Yee and me ). We just sat there and had some snacks, watching cartoon together with her brother. xD We also got a Deepavali packet! =P

After awhile, Tharisany came and we had our lunch together. The dishes are almost all curry, but it's not really spicy, just one of it. We ate our lunch silently, with a little bit of laughter. Kit Yee ate like an Indian, using her bare hand, while we used fork and spoon. ( I wonder will it be rude for us to use the cutlery? ) Another family came to celebrate Deepavali with her family. After we finished up everything, we went out to the table near the lift. And here goes our photo session. ^_^ Loshini came and joined us while we were having fun taking photos.

Without realising, the sky turned dark and seems like it's gonna rain anytime. Everyone contacted their parents and they went house one by one. It's quite funny because Sahitra have to send them down everytime a person leave, so she just kept on go up and down without resting. xD Hooi Yee and I joined Sahitra when sending Audrey, and together we took a lot of photos using her tab. Hooi Yee was the last one to go home ( very late, she even had her dinner there ), while I am the second last.

Although we were just taking photos ( as usual, the only difference is that we came up with a lot of different poses that day ) and chit-chatting, it's still a fun day. So I hope there's more chances to celebrate like this. =D
