Clutch Bag In Hand

Posted by Mae Yeap at Sunday, January 25, 2015
Looking for a clutch bag to put my phone because it's quite big to be put into my pocket. >< But I could hardly find any nice one, most of them are quite matured looking. So I recycled one of my bags, the jeans bag which is totally worn out, and made it into a simple bag to be used again. ^_^ Since I don't have sewing machine, I did all the needlework by hand. Used up a total of three nights to finish up the product, and I LOVE IT! =D Exhausting but worth it! Mum said it looked nice too hehehe. Proud of myself. xD

Materials : Jeans cloth, zipper, black inner lining fabric, needles and string/sewing machine, bag button(s).

1. Measure and cut the cloth according to the size preferred.
( I made it slightly bigger than the size of my phone. )

2. Sew up the sides so that both cloth stick together.

3. Sew on the zipper.

4. Turn the bag inside out and sew up the sides.

5. Turn your bag over.

6. Tadaa, a clutch bag. xD

7. Sew button(s) on so that the cover won't open easily.

8. You can make a strap to be attached to the zipper or to the side, but it's optional. ( It made it easier to be carried. )

My final product! =D

Used only part of the cloth which is still in good condition and these are the scraps.
