Between Steamboat And Barbecue

With the idea of organizing our own class party at the mall after SPM in mind, we decided not to participate in the annual class party in the beginning. But we were told that it is a must to join, so we just had a simple potluck with each person bringing different ingredient for steamboat and BBQ because that's the only way to have a party without using our class fund. ^^ But thanks to Miss Wong, she sponsored us a tupperware of marinated chicken! =D

In the morning, everyone was bringing so many things in preparation for their class party. I brought 3 F&N Carbonated Drinks and a bottle of filtered water for cooking. It was so. damn. heavy, especially when going up the stairs. TT So we started to prepare the food, cleaning and cutting everything. But some of them were just playing around and helped a little bit later on.

I was cutting the corn, and they attempted to break the corn with their bare hands but failed. xD So I cut the corn halfway then only they break them. Good teamwork made the speed faster. =D

The grill set is actually quite small, so it's not enough for so many people. We cooked for second batch and it was still normal, same as the first batch. ^^

Snacks and carbonated drinks are a must for party!

Third batch was a simple broth to cook bihun soup and we grilled the corns too. The corn took a really longggg time to cook. @@

Fourth batch was not normal anymore. Haha. We threw all the remaining ingredients into the pot and cooked so-called ABC soup, then used the grill plate to fry bihun ( Zi Ying started it ). Omg, it was really funny, even our teachers were fascinated. xD But the outcome was acceptable, tasted good. Cooking need experience, but sometimes we need the bravery ( to simply cook xP ) too.

Finally we ended our party by cleaning up the desks. But before that, we had some Big Apple doughnuts bought by Maryam. It was really delicious, thank you! Then we started clearing up rubbish, wiping the tables, washing the kitchenware and cutlery. After our hard work, we sat at the tables chatting with each other. Was trying to play some games but somehow the mood was just incorrect. We were lazy and tired, so we just sat there, had some conversation then started mixing drinks lol.

Then suddenly, Balqis came in, bringing me a news that 'someone' wanna take photo with me. We were all like 'Again?'. They asked me not go out, so we just stayed where we were. Carol, Joo Wei and her brother were lingering at our classroom's backdoor. Audrey, Chou Tong and Jie Lynn ganged up and left me alone after the count of three. =.= ( Wei Ling and Ke Ying were sleeping near the windows. ) Joo Wei then came in and made the 'opening'. After they left, we walked to where they were sleeping and had some conversation before the school ended.

Although it was not as fun as last year's party where we were having ice war. That was really cold and exciting. =D Anyway, this year's wasn't that bad either, at least we had fun cooking together lol. xD It's most probably our last class party in this school ( not counting the one after SPM ). So, yeah, we created more memories together with the chance we had. ^^
